Biography

A real amateur photographer. I want to learn as much as I can at this site and welcome criticism that helps me do so. Ultimately, I love looking at good photographs. My hope is that some of mine will fit that bill for you. After several weeks here, I've learned a great deal. And realize each week how little I know. I do know what I like however and if you get boosts and comments from take them to be from someone with an appreciating eye and few qualifications to really critique. If you don't get a comment or boost from me and wonder why, I'll be glad to tell you what impression your shot made on me after the current week ends. And within the context of my qualifications, I will be happy to critique any photo if asked to do so.

Thanks, SLR, but you give me too much credit.. I saw the shot, set up and shot it, not waiting for any better light (it was after nine in the morning and the best light was gone, anyway). I did notice the creaminess of the light on the near wall in advance...but it's hard to get bad light on adobe, anyway...)

Thanks for your comments on my DC photo. If you get to that area again, find the Old Post Office. I don't know how long it will be a tourist attraction. I heard that Trump purchased it for something. You can go to the top of the clock tower and see fantastic views. This hallway was across the street near a Metro stop. I think it is the EPA building.

On the way to Deadhorse Point State Park near Moab, Utah...Edward Abbey's part of the world. Very close to Arches National Park.
