hey, I just realized I am in GREAT company with my entry from this past week. Beautiful shot! congrats...
Thank you everyone! I posted pics of the setup for this shot in my gallery. Please check them out.
Fun to see who shot it... nice work Bear!
One of my top 20 this week.
Very beautiful creation. I would have never guessed what it was. Vote.
great entry submitter! thanks for letting us have some good fun with it!
Neat shot, like it a lot. vote
Thank you topdogy and everyone who commented and voted. I appreciate the comments as much as the votes.
vote very nice love the different colors
I like it.
thanks mussel and sherry. it was fun to experiment and a fun shot to take.
Very nice, lovely effect! Voted!
the orange on the left was the edge of the wrapping paper. I shot the photo bigger than the background and knew I would crop it down to fit but when I saw the orange show up I liked it.
welcome back Suz! missed you. yes, actually Christmas wrapping paper. green with blue, red, yellow polka dots and little white snowflakes. good guess!
mystery background ... wrapping paper or decorative tissue paper?
not a lava lamp. hint-the background was flat and laid under the glass baking dish with the water and oil in it.
Colorful lava lamp? (I know..I'm dating myself!)
no not mountains Irishkell. and no not a shower curtain Slr. thank you for looking and your kind comments.
I really like this... its beautiful and very creatively done with the colors you've included. I can't figure out the background. Shower curtain?
Is that a view of the mountains I see peeking through the blue area on the bottom left? Beautiful colorful shot!
Thank you cali. Enjoy your trip.
lol lenscap. Thanks.
my very first attempt at creating a beautiful Bokeh effect??? I thought I had deleted this months ago??? just kidding, of course beautiful shot.
Early vote since I will be out of town hiatus rest of week. One of my faves.
nice shot and colors voted
guess it was not much of a mystery...water in a clear glass baking dish propped up on 2 drinking glasses with a few drops of canola cooking oil (got to be healthy) with my mystery background underneath.
joie-everybody knows oil and water dont mix! but you got it! you figured it out. But...you got the backdrop wrong. not a scarf.
Oil and water, shot thru a glass bottom container... the backdrop could be a spotted scarf or something similar.
PS- if you look closely at some of the spheres you may get a hint as to what I used as a backdrop.
Thanks Cali. No they're not actually lights. It's a common item that I used as a backdrop. At the end of the week I'll post some pics on the setup and how it was done. It's really simple actually.
Very interesting colors here, the droplets provide a very creative play on the lights (I assume they're lights) in the background. Well done.
Thank you viapet. No not raindrops, but it does involve water.
I really love your photo & the rainbow of colors as well. Raindrops on a window maybe?
no, sorry not a teething toy Talegi. god guess though. thanks for looking.
thank you artlover. appreciate the early votes.
