One of my favorites for the week. Its been a great week for me in viewing, but is hard to look at photography versus my favorite aircraft in deciding favorites.
wow...I love your take on this week's topic and your inclusion of the story that goes along with the shot. My thoughts on the trees in the background are that they give life and meaning to the story and the shot. I only make the suggestion of possibly tilting the shot just a tiny bit to make the trees on the left perpendicular and the roof top level. Otherwise, good crisp focus with beautiful color! bravo!
It's too bad you didn't have a cleaner background. The copter gets a little tangled with the trees behind it.

I didn't have anything for this weeks topic, so i decided to go to my local hospital and see if the Life Flight Chopper was there. The pilot was out there with it and said that I could take pictures of it, but only while he was out there. So while I was snapping away, I noticed that he was pre-triping the copter. I finished taking the photo's, and noticed that his crew was bringing a patient out to it. So I thought, perfect chance for some photo ops. In this photo they were just getting airborne. I didn't even notice the pilot looking at me until I uploaded the photos on my laptop. I hope he wasn't upset that I was still taking photo's. I did respect the patient and their family and didn't take any photo's of the patient being loaded into the copter. I was about 300 feet away when it started taking off and sitting in my truck.

Very nice to zoom in on. I love being able to see the pilot, so sharp and clear. Great color.

Good capture, would have moved back or zoomed out a bit to get the propellers entirely in the shot.

I, too, would have gone with a cleaner background. The trees, brush and roof line are distracting.
I do have several with cleaner backgrounds, but this was the only one with the pilot looking at me.

You're right...he's looking directly at you. Great clarity. I don't think I'd want to be that close to the blades. :)
Love zooming in on this! The clarity is phenomenol! I like the action this depicts. Great job!
