Ah... good imagination slr. Unfortunately this was a newer penny that isn't all copper, and silvery streaks were plentiful which made it difficult shooting from other angles with the shine. Maybe next time I should just use a cap for copper pipe, who would know?
I like it to. The photography is very well done and is really a creative idea. The weld being right on your focal plane almost makes it look like the portion from that point on is a reflection is a perfectly fitted mirror... But the poor penny is right on both sections. By the way, I zoomed in on that penny and it is... um was... a rather rare, 1937d. Too bad! :)
Okay, I'll give you my thoughts and will expect a penny in the mail. :) My main thought... how did this person do this?? Oooh the softness in the area where the cool of the blue blends into the warm of the tan/beige. Then you have stark contrast with the sharp lines of the penny. Very good shot.

Thanks Ladies, DeedleD - it was my zoom lens. Talegi - I don't know about Mythbusters, but the Railroad Cop busted me for playing on "His" property, seemed to be pretty serious about it but just gave me a warning. lol

Very creative shot! I remember when the adults in my life warned that would derail a train... wonder if that's been submitted to Mythbusters?
Awesome!! Did you use a macro lens to get that shallow dof?
Yep, Sometimes you just have to let that kid out to play!
