Yes, the cropping was a little bit tricky for me I wanted to keep also something from the green pine trees but without losing the focus from the yellow (hope it's lichen) "coloring" of the rock. I will post on the galery the full picture at the end of the week.
I'm liken' the liking of the lichen! I agree with DeedleD's 2nd comment. This is really nice and I do like the photograph very much. One thing that I enjoyed was the out of focus shadow of a branchlet coming in from the lower right corner. It interacts nicely with the green lichen. Nice work.
Back again. Am I allowed to disagree with myself? :-) I don't think I like my cropping suggestion after all. I'm no pro here....still learning about this fine art!
I'm liken' the lichen. :=) I this were my pic I might play around with the cropping to emphasize that lichen. Maybe eliminate the outcropping of rock at the top and a little off the bottom? Just a thought. Other than that, great exposure and color. I like the branches off on the left framing it. Good entry.
