The robins, sparrows and house finches are constantly nesting under my deck, shed, shrubs,... and will quite often have at least 2 hatching's a season so I wouldn't call it rare, but as others have said it isn't that easy to close enough to shoot especially at 135mm.
Really awesome. I always envy being able to capture moments like this. In this case, I like that the adult bird is the focus, and the chicks are only slightly secondary and still sharp. The adult beak draws me right to the eye; the breast color to the little gaping mouths. Beautiful triangulation of color, detail, and story. Voted!!
Themed Level? Seeing it is one thing, getting a photo like this is another. Good job. Photo Quality? Very nice. Best quality? Getting so many elements like open mouths, placement, cropping etc dialed in. Well done. Vote? YEP Yep.

Great photo, but that is the dad feeding the babies. The mothers have a dull color, while the dads are the more colorful ones. Just a fyi
