Thanks everyone and this definatly is not selective colouring although I really would like to know how to do it. The American flag hangs out side the Grosvenor Hotel Chesters finest the clock in the distance was erected for Queen Victorias Jubilee and the arch that it is on is part of the city walls built by the Romans the black and white are Elizabeathean type buildings
Chester one of my favourite citys, nice shot of the Red topic with the olde worlde Black & white buildings in the background, overall I really like it. vote
Only a red firetruck passing by would have made this picture an even greater shot... selective coloring is allowed because is an effect that applies to the whole image and many modern cameras have already this built-in feature. voted
This shot is so much fun to zoom in and look around. I have a sweet shot of my son when he was very little pretending to talk on the phone in one of these. Except the booth is here in SoCal. Good job!
This ones REALLY fun to zoom in and see what's going on. The phone booth is crystal clear. Fun to go look at colorful stuff in background. Fun photo all around. Good luck.
I like this shot. This would have been great with selective coloring if allowed. With the muted colors behind it almost looks like that. ( selective coloring) Great image!
Great shot. where have all the shoppers gone? Every time i go to Chester it is crammed full of people. Like the composition colours and clarity.Voted

England used to have these Red telephone boxes dotted about everywhere for the public to use very few left now and The telephone box in Dr Who was blue those were police boxes where they could go into and telephone the police station There are now no blue ones in existance a bit of usless info for you guys

This is a really nice photo. Love the brightness of the red in photo. Be back later in the week. :)
So glad the van is there. It complete the photo totally. Wonderful detail. When zoomed in, I feel like I'm there....don't I wish.
I like the angle you chose to shoot this.
