It may not be perfect, but I like the perspective and find it pleasing.

I think lying the base down was brilliant you rarely see it this way, it draws you into the picture I would have liked to see the full neck of the base , the color adds to the image but a bit of separation between then now they look a little crowded

I think that the "Cover" or whatever it is adds a little bit more Color. Maybe if it had been Under the Chello. or something. I don't know. but it dose add more needed color. Nice. for what time you had to take it in. it can be hard when you have Limited time.

I like this as is because the image conveys a sense of hurriedness... which, from your explanation, it has. Only thing I might have done was to crop it a bit more on the left and bottom; the cover could as easily been a hat or jacket. Knowing musicians, this perfectly exploits a musician on the street. thank you all for your comments. I've made this photo on an extremely crowded pedestrian street. The cello player just uncover the cello and thrown down the cover. On the way back from his back pack i had only 3 sec time (free pedestrian as well) to make the photo.

I like the overall attempt and thought that went into setup, angle and soft lighting. I wonder what it would look like without cover. My eye sure went to it first. The texture of the street and softness of background is a nice touch. Good luck.

I like this image with one exception. I agree with Joie that the cellos cover does not add to the composition. Kinda wonder why it is there all balled up. I do like the angle to the image and the cobblestone street add to the image. The color in the cello is wonderful and is very complimentary to the tone in the cobblestone and wall.

I really like your unique entry and approach to this week's topic. Please share what appears to be a "rest of the story" moment in time??? Love you mild DOF and the tack sharp focus on the subject. Bravo and best of luck this week.

The ... "rag" is the cello's cover. I didn't intend any straightening. The photo is meant to be like this! Thanks a lot for your observation!

Joiemagic  6/10/2012 8:36:11 PM

Maybe I am missing something, but what is the rag in front of the instrument? Just takes away from the photo, which could also use some straightening. This is a good idea that I feel needs a little improvement.
