Very clear and nice shading, how did you convert this? I've viewed this on 3 monitors and they all show a slight tinting like a filter effect was used, (sepia?). Other wise very good, she could look right through you.

Also, thanks everyone! I got lucky with a great subject:)
Very beautiful and precious portrait. You did a great job. Glad you kept her sweet little hands in the photo instead of making it a head/shoulders shot.

Very nice photo. I like the natural side lighting and that you left her hair as it was and didn't make it look like a pose. Great shot!
The BW and boost in iPhoto does provide an old time BW effect. I've done that as well. It is a sweet effect with this child. I love her hands. Voted!!
I don't know..b/w=sepia?..It's a nice photo!
Just mentioned it because I didn't know if you could see it. I think this photo didn't need the extra boost and would be perfect in regular B&W.
@gfa5775, I used iPhoto, and I converted to black and white and then used the effect "boost color," which probably gave the slight tint to it.

Yes she sure is and you've done a great job with your black and white portrait! Very nice work.
Yep...now the adorable factor comes into play! Bravo!
Before I read you caption I was thinking, "Adorable!" This is really precious. ♥
