Some things are better left alone when they're broken (and in color).

Rust in anything but natural colors rarely does it for me, good scene.

Thanks guys, I have to admit I tried going sepia on this...but found I missed the true colors. Thanks for the votes!

kudos to you on your entry for the week...I must say, I like this much better because of the balance of color.

Very nice shot. I agree with the others and also enjoyed the zoomed in adventure. Good job.

great all around image. love how the tractor varies the focal weight of the composition. the tones are wonderful. like everything about it. glad you did not do b&w with this as many would have tried.

This is beautifully done. I really like that you have the tractor front & center with the lovely landscape surrounding it. Great composition and colors! Great job!

I have been thinking about this photo all day. It is so well balanced: compositionally, color wise, dof, framing, lines and circles; it offers a softness to reminders that have old sharp edges. Voted!!!

ginniemae-this was taken at a private residence about 5 miles from where I live. I used to drive by it taking my boys to school everyday and always thought it was very interesting. I kinda snuck onto his property and took several shots this morning :D Thanks for the positive comments and especially for taking the time to look around the shot!

Good entry! I see a couple of old hay rakes in the background.

Broken? Antiquated? Rusty? Yep! Very cool when enlarged. Some interesting surprises in the background too after I determined the 3rd and 4th cylinders had no plugs and lead to engine failure ;-] Flowers and background depth makes this very nice. Good luck! I bet SLRcreative will have some fun poking around.
