Thanks for all the nice comments! This is actually true color. If you zoom in and look closely you can see a green tone under the silver fuzz. I'll post the original photo to my gallery tomorrow.
Nope, nope and nope...butoh so close now. Talegi, the funny thing is...if you combined your guess from 3 days ago to the last couple you gave you would have it. I'm sure you'll get it now :D
Cotton Cactus? Or similar "soft" succulent? Wait, African Violet leaf?

Nope and nope. It is organic and in it's natural form, and you can see a hint of the underlying color that might give you a clue to the type of subject.

Great choice in B&W, one of my favs. vote
I thought Dusty Miller was a country singer.
Great value contrast
You're kidding, only my two??? This one is great all-around, and you are getting a third from me... made my top 3 this week!
Light, shadows, texture and framing - all good.
wool?
My last round - Voting on mystery value.
great texture abd contrast, and now I see that slight green color, had thought it was dryer lint. What it is is is so much nicer. Voted!
TY Talegi...so that's where my 2 votes came from
Woohoo! Now, what do I win? :D Voted earlier in the week, two so far. Very nice contrast and conveyance of that fuzzy texture!
YAY! Your persistence has paid off Talegi. It is indeed a type of Dusty Miller leaf. Nice Job!
Kinda looks like insulation
Dusty Miller?

Turkish Tansy or Silver Carpet?
I have come a long way from Dryer Lint! Is it a Pussy Willow?
Ahh Talegi....you are incorrect but finally getting close!

Steel wool?
Cotton?
New clue...if you zoom in tight you can see a hint of the underlying color.
Not a cacoon...but that would have been a fun idea to do!
A cacoon?
Nope and nope. It's organic, but NOT gross.
Horse bisquit?
Mohair sweater?
Maybe it's time for a clue. It is organic...
Nope...not a dust bunny. Although that did make me giggle a bit.
Back to vote. Dust Bunny?
By the way...people look at me really cross eyed when I walk around saying "mahiwaga mahiwaga" over and over as I rub my chin with a furrowed brow.
Early vote for mystery factor since I will be on hiatus rest of week. This is a must zoom photo for sure. Everyone else has guessed what it's not.
Not a wool sock....keep em comin :D
A wool sock?
Nope, not lint...and EWWW @lenscap...not a hairball!!!
Ma...they found kitty's hairball and posted it on GPR!
lint voted
Nope, nope & nope..but very funny Talegi! Now watch somebody actually do belly button lint!
@Talegi- That is so funny. My guess is a loofah sponge!
No help with mahiwaga...it means mystery.
Belly Button Fuzz?
Mahi waga Mahi Waga. I tried to say it really really fast to get a clue. Then r e a l l y S L O W. That didn't help. Hmmm.
