This is great Cali! Like I said, it was difficult rising above my bias for specific types of aircraft in judging photography. I am afraid your shot is one that I should have considered more on the photography side. It is really well done and the more I look at it, the more I like it! Great work my friend!
just signed on and discovered one last boost. last for best! Bravo!!!

Thanks FOlks! And to @GFA. When I bumped up ISO, I was getting ALOT of noise. Even at the 100 ISO, I still have some - I kinda had to sacrifice some shutter speed (slight blur) to get less noise and more of my favoriate effect...blurry/cloudy background. GPR folks are tough critics so once I had angle, less noise and a cool background...I went with it. THANKS FOR INPUT!!
As simple as this looks, I know it's not that easy. I would recommend bumping up you ISO to get the shutter speed to at least 1/500 or faster with a moving target though. It almost looks like 3D before opening it full screen.
Novel, well articulated, wonderful composition and dof, perseverance! One of my favorites of the week even though you only posted a few hours ago. Off into the wild blue yonder despite that bent nose! Voted!!!
great job submitter. already have my max votes to ya.

Thanks for comments. Ya Joie...you're right...I kinda tried the assistant approach, but got tired "chasing" the plane with viewfinder and getting blurry pictures. Snapping photo as soon as it left my hand ended up working best to get angles and clouds together. Wish I could have started earlier in week but was not able
This is a great shot, beautiful composition and I love your patience in getting the shot. Next time, may I recommend having an assistant throw the plane for you.
A bit fuzzy but after reading your description of how it was done...I have to say, "Good Job".

Thanks Bear...Just shot it a minute ago. And it only took about 50 trys as you can tell by the nose. Try throwing a plane left handed and shooting right handed. But hey...this is where aviation dreams begin! Thanks for savings a couple votes for the late entry.

Excellent capture, like everything about this, one of my favs this week. vote
Very different idea! Well thought!
Fantastic thinking on your part! Seems to be flying just fine even with a crinkly nose. Like this very much!

Great idea! Nice background with those clouds and great angle on the plane soaring upwards.
