Looks like the springs on the left are growing pretty good. So, once you get your springs the size you want, what do you do with them? I haven't seen a recipe for spring soup or roast duck a l'spring. Ha! I bet you get the wire cutters and harvest them to put in a vase on the dining table. Voting for creativity.
Definitely the most creatively engineered shot of the week.

YAY - Nice comments!! Made my day. The SuperSoil is starting to work in my (I mean my wifes) real garden. She couldnt wait for me to get these out so she could plant MORE 12' tomatoe plants. i just can't figure out how to get these little springs to grow...even with SupersOil. Hmmm
Love your take on this week's topic, especially the inclusion of the ladybug. Thanks for sharing your out of the box thinking and creativity! kudos and best of luck.
Ps. Hope you all caught the supersoil play on words??? Get it? Supers Oil??? Yuk yuk!! Springs oil?.? Never mind. :-)

Thanks to all commenters. My hunee And I worked hard on this and had phun doing it. Definitely one of those that took us out of our typical photo zone but RED topic did too. We knew there'd be lots of flower pix this week and wanted to mix it up!! Kell...you made my day. Thx!
This is just the most clever creative photo I've seen in ages! And I like the different types of springs (I think the fuzzy ones are my favorite). The colors, clarity and comp are spot on! Great job!
Keep your photo here. Although I liked the composition of your initial photo better, this one is very sharp.
I like the spirit with which you created your photo, it's colorful, creative, and took considerable planning to set it up. I can't believe you actually painted all those springs! Voted!!
I love the thought and time and talent and creativity you put into this. Actually I'm getting tired of all of the flower submissions (even mine! lol) I will be back to vote.
Solarfred, I enlisted my wife to paint the springs, that took quite a while. Thanks hun! Trip to hardware store...the nursery...craft store... (I lost track of time). The hardest part was coming up with Super SOIL label. ;-) All worth it. Even if I get no votes...it was FUN
Yes I like this better aswell, very creative, I get the super oil thing for lubricating the springs aswell you obviously put a lot of effort into this, well done for that and good luck
Thanks to those who gave input on previous submission. Good advise. Lighting was better this morning and the technical flaws were corrected. Good light makes ALL the difference!!

That's your choice but this is a well thought out and executed photograph. Be back to vote later.
OK...thinkin' I might pull this in favor of a REAL spring time photo and resubmit something more tradtional. Open for suggestions.

Just out of curiosity how long did it take you to produce this composition including painting the springs??
